Tek-CARE®700 runs on our proprietary Tek-BRIDGE® server, which can connect simultaneously to any TekTone®nurse call system and a variety of foreign systems, such as fire alarm and security systems. It provides resident ID, loiter and door-ajar monitoring, low tag battery and several more alerts. Tek-CARE®700 includes a door controller and keypad next to each monitored door, and a magnetic switch mounted to the door and doorframe. A maglock can be added to automatically lock the door when a resident is nearby.

The system operates using a network of NC702 Door Controllers and wireless tags worn by residents or placed on equipment. These controllers emit a wireless field called a transmit field around each door. When a patient tag enters the transmit field, the door controller detects the tag. If the door opens while a tag is in the transmit field, then an alarm will sound. Alarms are reset when a facility staff member enters an acknowledgment code into the keypad mounted near the door.

Door controllers can monitor almost any type of building egress, including single and double doors, elevator doors, and automatic doors. In addition, a PIR motion detector can be used to monitor entire hallways, elevator lobbies, or other open space.

The Tek-CARE®700 wander management system conforms to the UL® 294 Standard for Access Control System Units. Information is available at www.tektone.com/tekcare700.php.
