In 2018, TekTone celebrates 45 years of business. Everyone at TekTone is incredibly excited about reaching such an important milestone.

TekTone was founded in 1973 in Lake Park, Fla. Since then, the company has continued to grow and adapt to different markets. TekTone has evolved from a small manufacturer of apartment and home intercom systems into a consistent leader in the global healthcare communications market.

After outgrowing operations in Lake Park, TekTone relocated all operations to Franklin, N.C. in 2001. Since moving to North Carolina, TekTone has only increased capacities in both production and employment. The resources available in Western North Carolina continue to nurture and support company efforts.

In 2017, TekTone moved into a new Franklin location with plenty of room to expand. Congruently, with the introduction of the new Tek-CARE®120 nurse call system, TekTone experienced the greatest amount of growth to date.

TekTone is expected to continue growth and expansion, designing and producing more new and exciting products. The Tek-CARE platform for healthcare facilities exemplifies TekTone’s continuous effort to create new, exciting products while still embracing the successes of the past. With innovative products such as the Tek-CARE120 and the Tek-CARE mobile app and legacy products such as the NC110 nurse call system, TekTone works to create an interchangeable platform to celebrate the past and present. By providing these links, TekTone customers can be confident that their products will continue to be supported for years to come.

Forty-five years of business can only be accomplished through the hard work of employees and the dedication of loyal customers. The people at TekTone are grateful for all of the support, and look forward to continuing to strive for success for many years to come.
