Relationship with TekTone

For more than 20 years, Glenridge on Palmer Ranch has been dedicated to helping its members live their best lives through a holistic approach that encourages wellness, meaningful relationships, and lifelong intellectual and physical engagement. 

In 2016, as the community planned for continued growth, Glenridge recognized the need for a nurse call system that could grow with them. That decision led to the installation of the Tek-CARE500 Wireless Nurse Call System. Its flexibility and ability to easily expand made it the right fit for a campus with long-term development plans. The previous system simply was not designed to support that level of growth. 

In 2022, Glenridge further enhanced member safety campus-wide by integrating the Tek-CARE700 Wander Management System across all healthcare settings, including Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care. 

Since the initial installation, Glenridge has worked with TekTone Elite Partner, All Digital Technology of Fort Myers, Florida, for ongoing service and support. Stephen Carlson, Systems Sales Representative, and Dillon Bolebruch, Sales Manager, work closely with Danny Collins, Director of Life Safety at Glenridge, and his team of 16 security officers to ensure the systems continue to operate smoothly. 

“It’s great working with Stephen because we have a good working relationship. He does a great job for me and keeps us going,” says Collins. 

Today, the Tek-CARE platform supports members across the entire campus, from independent living to memory care. 

The Solutions

The Tek-CARE500 Wireless Nurse Call System is installed in every independent living apartment and club home, as well as in select bathrooms and common areas throughout the Glenridge property. The system includes patient stations, waterproof pendants, motion detectors, and smoke detectors. Because it is fully wireless rather than hardwired, Tek-CARE500 offers exceptional flexibility and ease of installation, making it an ideal solution to ensure reliable emergency coverage across the entire campus. 

The Tek-CARE700 system is installed throughout Glenridge’s healthcare units, including Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, and Memory Care, to support members with dementia and other cognitive challenges. The system allows at-risk members to move freely within approved areas while helping prevent unsafe wandering. It utilizes door controllers with keypads at monitored exits, along with magnetic switches installed on doors and frames. The system was carefully configured to match the layout of each unit, and the Glenridge team worked through a fine-tuning process to ensure every monitored door is fully covered and functioning exactly as intended. 

Tek-CARE700 provides resident ID, loiter and door-ajar monitoring, low tag battery alerts, and additional real-time notifications. In addition to operating alongside the Tek-CARE500 system, Tek-CARE700 can also integrate with a variety of third-party systems, including fire alarm and security systems. When a call is placed on either system, it annunciates at the nearest nurse station as well as in the security officer tower, ensuring staff are immediately aware and able to respond.
