Every year, National Nurses week begins on May 6 and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale. A pioneer in her field, Nightingale exemplified the idea of the modern nurse, and instilled many practices still used today. Her work lead the way for countless others to enter the nursing occupation and provide endless and attentive care for patients and residents around the world.
Nurses are often the patient’s number one contact, providing around-the-clock care and attending to every need so that every patient feels safe, comforted and heals properly. Oftentimes working long hours and late shifts, they are the backbone of the healthcare industry.
Here at TekTone, we are grateful for all of the hard work that nurses provide and the incredible dedication that they bring to their jobs.
Be sure to thank the nurses in your life this week!
