PM464 Telephone Interface Module & NC464 Central Control Module

Tek-CARE^®400 now integrates with wireless telephone systems, enabling portable two-way communication between staff and patients!

TekTone^® is pleased to announce the release of our Tek-CARE^®400 Telephone Interface System, comprised of the PM464 Telephone Interface Module and the NC464 Central Control Module (CCM). With this new system, the Tek-CARE^®400 nurse call system gives nursing staff immediate and direct contact with patients' rooms, other staff, the nurses' master station and physicians.

The PM464 Telephone Interface Module plugs into the Tek-CARE^®400 Central Equipment (CE), and adds four telephone ports that connect to the facility's PBX system. Up to five PM464 modules may be installed in each CE, for up to 20 telephone ports per CE. Multiple PM464 modules may be installed in a single CE, or spaced across several networked CEs. TekTone^® recommends 3 wireless phones per port—up to 12 wireless phones per card.

A third-party wireless telephone system connects to both the facility's PBX system and the NC464 CCM. The NC464 CCM is configurable to support most wireless telephone systems. This serial device connects to TekTone^®'s PM454 Pager Module or NC470 Tek-BRIDGE™ PC (if the system includes Tek-MMARS^®400 software).

With the telephone interface system, staff can use wireless phones to:

• place a call to a patient or master station,
• automatically answer a patient call,
• page all stations or a single zone,
• set a nurse or aide service request to a patient station,
• set a STAT request to a patient station,
• monitor a zone,
• use nurse attend.
