Job Description
Summary
- Department: Sales
- Reports To: Sales Manager
- Facilitates the sale of products to low voltage electronic distributors over the telephone by performing the following duties.
- Supports TekTone's commitment to product excellence, product quality, and customer satisfaction. Performs to the best of his or her ability to create high quality products and services that satisfy every customer requirement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Reviews and enters customer sales orders into computer database.
- Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
- Makes outbound lead followup calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and email to qualify leads and sell products and services.
- Determines and suggests product types per customer application.
- Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Builds and maintains customer relationships.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- In certain instances, travel may be added to employee's responsibilities.
Language Skills
- Additional Spanish speaking language preferred.

ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER (posted Apr. 9, 2013)
Electronics Design Engineer needed to design high quality medical communications equipment. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- BSEE or equivalent with 5 yrs experience or MSEE or equivalent with 3 years experience (preferred).
- Design of embedded systems including TI, Atmel, Freescale, Xilinx microprocessors/CPLDs and/or similar, and common peripheral devices/circuitry.
- Design experience with Ethernet, USB, and wireless devices.
- PCB layout with PADs, and OrCAD schematic capture, or comparable packages.
- Experience with packaging constraints and materials, including injection molded plastic and 3D printing technologies, such as FDM and SLA.
- Embedded programming in C and experience with hardware description languages such as VHDL.
- DFM background and experience designing for compliance: UL, FCC, etc.
- Experience in QMS and project management.
